IN THE BEGINNING ...

... was the challenge: healthy and honest cosmetics that are good for both humans and nature and are yet still suitable for professional use – conventional counterparts just couldn't compete. Chemist Dr. Doris Brandhuber began implementing her formulas in the back room of hairstylist Hannes Trummer's very first Less is More salon. Testing was done directly with and on the customer and the feedback was so good that making the next decision was easy. In 2007 the GmbH was registered and LIM Cosmetics was officially founded.

2007 Establishment of the LIM Cosmetics GmbH; development of the new visual appearance

2008 LIM goes international: the first destination outside Austria is Germany! The springboard is Organic Luxury in Munich and the first department store is QUARTIER 206 in Berlin.

2009 INNOVATIONS: The BODYWASH & BODYCREAM as well as the NATURAL BRUSHES land on the market. LIM receives its first AWARD:
‚DIE PRESSE‘ BEAUTY INNOVATION AWARD 2009, category: NATURAL, product: ALOE MINT VOLUME SHAMPOO


2010 INNOVATIONS: The styling line is extended by two products; LIMESOUFFLÉ and LINDENGLOSS FINISHING SPRAY. TRAVELSIZES also make a first appearance on the market. LIM goes international: the following markets are conquered: COLETTE in Paris, France and BEYORG in Hong Kong, China.

2011 INNOVATIONS: LINDENGLOSS Shampoo and Conditioner. With this series, all the shampoo formulas are changed and as of now they wash better and foam more. AWARDS: BEYOND BEAUTY, Paris - BEAUTY CHALLENGER AWARD WINNER: BLOG FAVORITE '11

2014 Less is More GRAND OPENING - flagship salons “Minus Plus” in Vienna's bubbling 7th district, Kirchengasse. From now on, a distinction is made between the provision of services and products, and the former Less is More salons are re-named “minusplus”. AWARDS: ELLE Sweden Beauty AWARD: The Mallowsmooth Conditioner is chosen as Conditioner of the Year.

2016 ORGANIC CERTIFICATION. 2016 sees the completion of our organic certification. Less is More becomes the world's first professional brand for organic haircare, offering its entire range as organically certified.
